During his time as an accounting student at Midlands State University, Marvellous fell prey to the difficulties of the off-campus accommodation search. His frustration birthed an innovative way in which he could use technology to ease the minds of his fellow students and their families.
On average, Zimbabwe has over 150 000 tertiary students, yet institutions have the capacity to accommodate just 30% of that figure. As a result, over 90 000 students have to opt for off-campus accommodation.
Marvellous founded The Housing Hub to reduce such high numbers. The Housing Hub is a service provider platform that uses smart technology. It enables tertiary students in Zimbabwe to book and make payments for off-campus accommodation online. The company employs students as agents, allowing them to earn income through commission.
So far, The Housing Hub has signed two agreements with two Universities: Midlands State University and Manicaland State University. As of January 2019, the company has successfully allocated accommodation to over 2 000 tertiary students through its platform.

Anesu Chibve and Marvellous Nyongoro designed a website which enables university students to bypass house to rent hunting process through searching online. Since inception in April 2018, the website has successfully allocated accommodation to over 2500 students from Midlands State University.
After a year-long pilot, an accommodation portal founded by two students in partnership with the Midlands State University (MSU) in Zimbabwe has proved so successful, it has now been monetised.
